Francesca GRESELIN

Francesca Greselin is Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of Milano-Bicocca. She is author or coauthor of about 30 peer-reviewed scientific works, most of which are published in international journals, such as Statistics and Computing, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, Journal of Approximate Reasoning, Sociological Methods and Research, and Advances in Data Analysis and Classification. Member of the board of the PhD programme in Statistics and Financial Mathematics of the University of Milano-Bicocca since 2009, she is now vice Coordinator of its XXXIII cycle. She has been Visiting Fellow at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) and the University of Queensland (Australia). She is Guest Editor of Statistical Analysis and Data Mining: The ASA Data Science Journal, and serves as a Referee for several statistical journals. She is involved in Scientific Committees of international conferences, has given some plenary talks and organized many specialized sessions. Her research activity includes inequality measures, their properties, limit theorems and applications. More recent research is focused on Mixture Models within the classification framework, with emphasis on Robust Methodology for model estimation and clustering.
